We left Dubrovnik in the morning with a long travel day ahead of us. The bus is comfortable though and they make sure we have enough stops. A final shot on our way out of Dubrovnik:

We made a quick stop in the town of Ston, a small town just over 50 km (31 mi) from Dubrovnik. It's known for one of the largest defensive walls in Europe, along with salt and oysters.

This was one of the days that included a lunch. We stopped at a place called Etnoland for what was called a "light lunch," but actually had ham, chicken, potatoes, apple and cherry pie, and coffee. Not many pictures with this, but here's the dining room:
Next highlight was Krka National Park. I'm not much one for the outdoors, but this was a really interesting place. The Krka river provides hydroelectric power and there are a series of waterfalls along the trail.

Back on the bus to our hotel in Vodice. Gate 1 books some pretty great hotels, but this one--the Hotel Olympia--was the most luxurious so far.

Only one night at this place, but it's not easy to get into town so that's OK. Tomorrow we tour Zagreb on a long drive to Ljubljana, Slovenia.
